This movie is based on the children's animated series The Yogi Bear Show. This re-vamp, directed by Eric Brevig, is a mix of live-action and animated.

The tale of two brown bears named Yogi (voiced by, Dan Aykrord) and his little sidekick Boo-Boo (voiced by, Justin Timberlake) is much the same as the original series. Stealing picnic baskets from campers at Jellystone Park. All the while trying to evade Ranger Smith (Tom Cavanagh).

Updating it, the story adds Ranger Jones (T.J. Miller) as over achieving grown boy scout, Rachel (Anna Faris) a nature documentary filmmaker, a Jane Goodall-type if you will. Along with the corrupt city mayor (Andrew Daly), whose overspending has left the city near bankruptcy. His plot to sell off Jellystone for the timber in order to make a run for governor has Yogi, Boo-Boo, Ranger Smith, Rachel to team-up and save the park.

This is what Ro-Roe thought about it. Her brother Winn had to get in on the action too.

Here's the trailer for your viewing pleasure.

With the Blockbuster season coming up fast Duckie and I decided that it is time to discuss our top ten upcoming movies... So, I looked at the schedule ahead and HOLY CRAP! We are in for a very busy season to say the least. In no particular order here are my top movies I'm looking forward to that are being released between now and August:

Ok, let's get some of the obvious ones out of the way:

Super 8
Fast Five
Transformers 3
Arthur
Bad Teacher
Pirates of the Caribbean
X-Men: First Class
Green Lantern
Capian America: The First Avenger
Thor
Green Lantern
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part II
Conan the Barbarian

I wanted to mention those ones because they are pretty obvious as to why I would like to go see them. Now here are some that you may not have heard about:

Cave of Forgotten Dreams (limited release)

Although this is a limited release on April 29th, I encourage you to try and find a theatre that is showing it. This looks like an artistically beautiful film. It is a documentary about a cave in Southern France. This cave contains some of the oldest paintings that we know of. As I said, though this film is a documentary it also appears to be a work of art... Can't wait.

Priest (May 13th)

This movie is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Min-Woo Hyung. It is a future meets past type of movie with Vampires at the core of the story. I am looking forward to the adaptation and the look of this movie draws me in. Anyway, it looks great and it has Paul Bettany as a rouge priest... hence the name.

Legend of the Fist (April 22nd)

Donnie Yen reprises his role as Chen Zhen and continues his story seven years after the events in the 1995 TV series Fist of Fury. This movie looks really exciting and it has action sequences that goes beyond your imagination... ok mine.

Cowboys and Aliens (July 29th)

Alright, alright... I laughed at the title and panned this a while ago. Then I saw it was directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Steven Speilberg and Ron Howard, among others. That got me to watch the trailer... huh, I didn't think that a movie with cowboys and aliens would look as good as this does. I'm intrigued by what this story could have in it.

Rise of the Apes (August 5th)

Ok, last but not least is Rise of the Apes. Though there is not trailer out yet I am excited about this movie because it is a pre-qual to the Planet of the Apes movies. It is a new movie not a remake. The story has James Franco as a scientist working with apes to find a cure for Alzheimer's. I have high hopes for this movie. OH YEAH and it has Andy Serkis playing the main Ape Caesar.

Well, that's it for now. I am sure that I will have to do this again soon as more movies get announced.

Hey, let us know what movies you're looking forward to this year.

See Ya!

Starting in 2006, David (Matt Damon) is running for New York State senate. A series of events happen to make him cross paths with a woman, Elise (Emily Blunt). The sparks between the two are undeniable, and she inspires him to give an honest speech about being a politician. David looses the campaign, but the seeds of her allure are already planted.

He sees her sometime later on a bus. Their conversation only deepens his attraction to her. But this bus ride was never supposed to happen. According the plan set forth by The Adjustment Bureau. A group of fedora-wearing, Mad-Men-suit-wearing gentlemen, who carry around note books with their “case files”. These files are the portion of the plan that they are in charge to keeping on track. David’s “caseworker”, Harry (Anthony Mackie), fell asleep and missed his opportunity to keep David on his plan.
For reasons that are only known to the editor-in-chief of the plan, who is referred to as the Chairman, the Adjustment Bureau is sent in to change subtle things in David’s life to bring him back on track.
When David discovers the Bureau by chance, they are forced to tell him that he is to never see Elise again. Both of their lives will be better if the two never cross paths again.
Feeling in his gut that this is wrong, he reluctantly chooses to follow the Bureau’s plan for the sake of Elise. But chance had plans the Bureau and the Chairman can’t anticipate.
Sounds interesting right? What if you find out about this bureau and were able to see what’s behind the curtain just as Dorothy did? Would you run for the hills and force your own fate, or would you concede to the Bureau and hope they know what’s the best for you?
Heres what we thought about it...

I can't believe this movie is 25 years old! Set in 1984, this coming-of-age story stars Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Paul Dooley, Mike Schoeffling, and Gedde Watanabe. With a supporting cast boasting the likes of a very young John Cusack, Joan Cusack, and Jami Gertz.

This film was also written and directing by the late, great John Hughes.

For Samantha "Sam" Baker (Molly Ringwald), turning 16 is hard enough. Her body is unfortunately still the same size, and the guy of her dreams doesn't even know she's alive. Add the fact her entire family has forgotten her birthday because of her older sister's, Ginny (Blanche Baker), wedding.

While at school, Sam tries to pass her friend a note is school. But instead it falls into the hand of her crush- Jake Ryan (Mike Schoeffling). He starts to notice her, and begins to rethink his popluar jock lifestyle and his popular prom queen girlfriend, Caroline (Haviland Morris).

When Sam gets home from her disappointing day of school and equally bummed out ride home on the bus, where she is hit on by The Geek (Anthony Michael Hall). She finds that her grandparents have invaded her home and taken over her room. One set bringing an exchange student, Long Duk Dong (Gedde Watanabe)

Hoping to escape her family she attends the high school dance. Again The Geek tries to win her over, but instead winds up with her underwear. Watch the movie to find out what I mean.

While Sam nurses her bruise ego, The Geek, and his posse decide to crash the senior party at Jake's house. After the house is completely trashed, Jake asks The Geek to take his girlfriend home, having made his decision to pursue Sam.

Duckie loves this movie. See just how much..you've been warned about the excited rambling...

Rango is a CG animated, western directed by Gore Verbinski. With the voice talents of Johnny Depp, as Rango the Lizard, Isla Fisher as Beans the desert iguana, Alfred Molina as Roadkill the armadillo, Bill Nighy as Rattlesnake Jake, and Abigail Breslin as Pricilla the cactus mouse. Just to name a few.

The beginning of the movie starts with the yet-to-be-named lizard (Johnny Depp), ranting about the lack of thespian ability the inanimate objects in his tank have. Crammed in the back of a station wagon, amongst his human owners belongings, when the car takes a severe swerve and the tank falls out of the hatchback and smashes on the highway- in the middle of the Mojave Desert. A chorus of an Owl mariachi band narrates the tragedy to the yet-to-be-named lizard.

Unaccustomed to the arid landscape, yet-to-be-named lizard, starts to panic. When he comes across a run over armadillo (Alfred Molina) who tells him that to find himself he must keep following his shadow. This leads him to a desert iguana named Beans (Isla Fisher) who has the unique defence mechanism of freezing like a statue when stressed.

When Beans questions yet-to-be-named lizard what he's doing in the middle of the desert, he creates an alter ego named Rango, a brash-talking- bow-legged-walking law man. She takes him to her town of Dirt. A place stuck in the wild west of yore.

When the towns bank runs low on the towns currency, water, Rango is forced by the creatures of Dirt to find the problem.

Will Rango save the town? Will the bad guys thwart his plans? And can Rango really become the good guy he's pretending to be?

Here's what Ro-Roe thought....

This newest instalment from the creative minds at DreamWorks is a tale about a big blue-headed alien and his quest to be the ultimate villain. One little catch in his plans for world domination is his arch nemesis, fellow alien, Metro Man. The good guy.

As infants from doomed planets, both were sent off in hopes that they would survive. They landed on Earth. Metro Man (Brad Pitt), landed under the christmas tree of and affluent family. While Megamind (Will Ferrell) crash landed in the middle of a prison for "Gifted Criminals". You can guess the type of influence and upbringing they each had.

Cue to several years later, when the two have had a life time of battles, Metro Man winning some, Megamind almost winning others. But when Megamind kidnaps Metro Man's 'girlfriend' Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey) for the umpteenth time, Metro Man decides that he wants out. He comes up with the bright idea to fake his own death, leaving Megamind to take over Metro City.

While at the time Megamind is excited at this prospect, he soon falls into the doldrums and realizes he thrived upon the epic battles he and Metro Man had. He extracts the DNA of Metro Man from a few pieces of dandruff, and creates a device that would allow him to create the hero he needs. But when the recipient of this supercharged DNA turns out to be a nightmare, a guy named Hal (Jonah Hill), Megamind has to figure out whether he wants to be the villain, or try out hero work.

And now for our resident kid movie expert, Ro-Roe. She's seen this movie multiple times, and has a few things to say about it...take it away Ro-Roe.
