This movie is based on the children's animated series The Yogi Bear Show. This re-vamp, directed by Eric Brevig, is a mix of live-action and animated.
The tale of two brown bears named Yogi (voiced by, Dan Aykrord) and his little sidekick Boo-Boo (voiced by, Justin Timberlake) is much the same as the original series. Stealing picnic baskets from campers at Jellystone Park. All the while trying to evade Ranger Smith (Tom Cavanagh).
Updating it, the story adds Ranger Jones (T.J. Miller) as over achieving grown boy scout, Rachel (Anna Faris) a nature documentary filmmaker, a Jane Goodall-type if you will. Along with the corrupt city mayor (Andrew Daly), whose overspending has left the city near bankruptcy. His plot to sell off Jellystone for the timber in order to make a run for governor has Yogi, Boo-Boo, Ranger Smith, Rachel to team-up and save the park.
This is what Ro-Roe thought about it. Her brother Winn had to get in on the action too.

I can't believe this movie is 25 years old! Set in 1984, this coming-of-age story stars Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Paul Dooley, Mike Schoeffling, and Gedde Watanabe. With a supporting cast boasting the likes of a very young John Cusack, Joan Cusack, and Jami Gertz.
This film was also written and directing by the late, great John Hughes.
For Samantha "Sam" Baker (Molly Ringwald), turning 16 is hard enough. Her body is unfortunately still the same size, and the guy of her dreams doesn't even know she's alive. Add the fact her entire family has forgotten her birthday because of her older sister's, Ginny (Blanche Baker), wedding.
While at school, Sam tries to pass her friend a note is school. But instead it falls into the hand of her crush- Jake Ryan (Mike Schoeffling). He starts to notice her, and begins to rethink his popluar jock lifestyle and his popular prom queen girlfriend, Caroline (Haviland Morris).
When Sam gets home from her disappointing day of school and equally bummed out ride home on the bus, where she is hit on by The Geek (Anthony Michael Hall). She finds that her grandparents have invaded her home and taken over her room. One set bringing an exchange student, Long Duk Dong (Gedde Watanabe)
Hoping to escape her family she attends the high school dance. Again The Geek tries to win her over, but instead winds up with her underwear. Watch the movie to find out what I mean.
While Sam nurses her bruise ego, The Geek, and his posse decide to crash the senior party at Jake's house. After the house is completely trashed, Jake asks The Geek to take his girlfriend home, having made his decision to pursue Sam.

As infants from doomed planets, both were sent off in hopes that they would survive. They landed on Earth. Metro Man (Brad Pitt), landed under the christmas tree of and affluent family. While Megamind (Will Ferrell) crash landed in the middle of a prison for "Gifted Criminals". You can guess the type of influence and upbringing they each had.
Cue to several years later, when the two have had a life time of battles, Metro Man winning some, Megamind almost winning others. But when Megamind kidnaps Metro Man's 'girlfriend' Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey) for the umpteenth time, Metro Man decides that he wants out. He comes up with the bright idea to fake his own death, leaving Megamind to take over Metro City.
While at the time Megamind is excited at this prospect, he soon falls into the doldrums and realizes he thrived upon the epic battles he and Metro Man had. He extracts the DNA of Metro Man from a few pieces of dandruff, and creates a device that would allow him to create the hero he needs. But when the recipient of this supercharged DNA turns out to be a nightmare, a guy named Hal (Jonah Hill), Megamind has to figure out whether he wants to be the villain, or try out hero work.
And now for our resident kid movie expert, Ro-Roe. She's seen this movie multiple times, and has a few things to say about it...take it away Ro-Roe.
